Some new pictures

Here are a few new pre-Xmas pictures. Keagan in front of the tree showing off his new sweater from Auntie Helen, and Keagan wearing his full outdoor getup. He found my ski goggles and wanted to try them out. And also, a picture of the three of us laying on the couch being really lazy on one of the snowy days. We are watching the Curious George movie.

Good Friends

Here some pictures of the kids with their friends. Keagan is making cookies with his good friends C & R. Maddy is playing with baby C. The last picture is one Keagan took of our new (almost complete) basement playroom. As you can see it is already being enjoyed!

All By Myself

Here is a cute picture that Keagan took with our camera of Daddy and Maddy. I think he takes better pictures than us.

Christmas Lists

I am borrowing an idea from LilyPad Princess' blog and putting Christmas present ideas for the kids out here. Here are some things I thought of for Keagan:
- a board game (Chutes & Ladders or Candyland)
- a sled (we only have a baby sled)
- a tent or tunnel or something to play inside, we melted the one that Auntie gave us a few years ago :-(
He is wearing size 3T these days, and he loves to read any and all books, and is obsessed with all construction vehicles.

Maddy is a little harder. She is wearing size 9-12 mos clothes already. I think she wants a pink bulldozer that is all her own and she likes to chew on the Little People toys?

I have also posted a cute picture of Maddy, and what would have been a great Xmas card picture if Keagan was wearing a shirt!

And.. exciting news.. (ok maybe only for us).. Maddy cut her first tooth today. She is growing up so fast. I am starting to panic that I don't have enough time in the day to enjoy all of her stages.

Thanksgiving

I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday. We had a nice mellow time up at my parents house. Here are some pictures. I am totally in the holiday mood now and I am loving all the Christmas preparations. We got our tree already last weekend! I was hoping all the holiday projects would help keep Keagan entertained when we are stuck in the house. Nope... I am calling around to some preschools tomorrow to see if anybody has any openings! :-)

Swimming & Christmas Cards

Here are a few bad pictures from the swimming lessons. They don't let you take pictures for privacy reasons, so I had to snap quick. Both kids are really enjoying it. I also attached a picture of the kids during our photo sessions yesterday. This is what most of my attempts to get a god picture for the Xmas card really look like! :-)

Looking Sweet

Here is a nice picture of the two of them together. If only they looked like this all day long :-)

Keagan the Robot

Keagan has a new thing that he does where he pretends to be a robot. I think he saw a robot on TV. It sounds really cute but it is getting old fast. In order to get him to do anything you have to hit the button. If you say "Keagan, please get out of the tub", he responds that he isn't Keagan, he is a robot and you have to hit the button. It wouldn't be too bad if the button worked, but it turns out that he is a complicated robot and sometimes the button doesn't work, or you have to hit a few buttons. This is a picture of him turning off the robot when I asked him to try to sit still for the camera.

The Many Faces of Maddy

Maddy is a feisty little one. She can be all smiles one minute, and then mad at you the next. She has a new face that looks angry but it is really just her trying to do a raspberry.

Auntie's Wedding

Here are some pictures from K&D's wedding that we were all in a few weeks ago. Keagan was a great little ring bearer. Maddy had on a cute little outfit but had to be changed into pajamas before we managed to a get a family picture. We had a wonderful time at the wedding and we were all so glad to be in it.

Stuck Inside

Now that the cold weather is here, we have been spending more time inside. I am trying to get a good picture of the two of them because I know it will take a month to get them both sitting still and smiling. I finally figured out how to use blogger.com and I am going to try and keep it updated with info and pictures of the kiddos.

Here are some intro stats on the kids to get this blog started:

Keagan will be 3 in February and Maddy is 6 1/2 months old. He is about 3 ft tall and 27 lbs. He is obssesed with anything trucks, tractors, and diggers. He never stops talking for a minute, but only I understand what he is saying most of the time. He loves to read books in bed at night, and he still can't sleep a wink without a binky in his mouth and one in his hand.

Maddy is sitting up and rolling around a lot. She can't crawl yet. We have been feeding her baby food for over two months now and she still hates it. She loves to talk a lot also, and very loudly. She is a terrible sleeper just like her brother used to be. Right now she is sharing a room with Mommy and Daddy, but we hope to move downstairs and give each kid their own room soon.

They both start swimming lessons this Saturday morning, so hopefully I can get a few good pictures of that to post soon.
